The new apartment building is located on the edge of the meadow, where it connects to the natural pedestrian routes leading to the H\u00e1je metro station. Its scale and shape responds to the surrounding buildings, but at the same time brings new spatial and community qualities to the area. The design promotes neighbourly relationships and privacy through shared pavilions and spacious balconies. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Its identity in relation to its surroundings is extremely important for the design. The intention is not to design an apartment block that will blend in with the grey of the estate (currently in the pastel colours of the estate), nor is it to design an apartment block that will stand out significantly from the surrounding development. <\/p>

The apartment building is situated on the edge of a residential meadow, which is currently used mainly as a passage space without clear organization. Natural pedestrian routes leading to the metro station form the basic guide for the urban design. The new building complements the open area, respects the orthogonal settlement structure and at the same time brings new spatial and social values to the site. <\/p>

The proposed mass has the form of a slab pavilion house with five above-ground and two underground floors. The elevation responds to the natural slope of the terrain, the two lower floors are partially recessed and allow for efficient parking, basement space and community facilities. The street profiles of Tatarka and Mnichovicka Streets are redefined without disturbing the scale of the surrounding buildings. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
