Kladno Hills

Vision Kladno represents a contemporary urban neighbourhood where living, working and nature are balanced for the benefit of the community and everyday life. The layered composition of urbanism – active ground floor, diverse housing with generous outdoor spaces and accessible green space – creates a rich sequence of environments that support gathering, comfort and quality of life. The shaped masses of individual houses with subtle valleys and protruding peaks reinforce light, views and spatial diversity and express the harmonious relationship between people, place and nature.

Pixelization

Vision Kladno presents an inspiring and progressive design for a new urban district that connects living, working and nature into a balanced and vibrant whole. At its heart is a welcoming residential neighbourhood where people can feel at home, connected to their surroundings and part of a thriving community.
At the same time, the neighbourhood supports a dynamic business environment that creates opportunities for innovation, employment and local economic development. This combination of housing and workspace contributes to a vibrant atmosphere throughout the day and makes the area both practical and inspiring.
The proposal also emphasises amenities – places where people can meet, learn and actively participate in community life. It ensures that important services and social spaces are easily accessible to all.
A strong commitment to biodiversity and well-designed public spaces is integral to the vision. Greenery here does not only serve an aesthetic function, but actively contributes to enhancing the quality of life, supporting local ecosystems and creating a pleasant outdoor environment for everyday use.
These elements combine to create a cohesive and future-ready neighbourhood where urban life coexists harmoniously with nature.
This vision is followed by a thoughtful organisation of the neighbourhood into layers, each of which contributes to a quality environment. A dynamic business environment is created at street level, which forms the basis of the whole concept. Shops, workspaces and active parterres enliven the public space, encouraging movement, interaction and everyday life.
Above this level, different housing types are sensitively arranged to respond to different lifestyles and needs. The apartments feature generous outdoor spaces – terraces, balconies and loggias – that extend the living space to the outdoors and strengthen the residents’ connection to their surroundings.

"A new urban neighbourhood that connects living, working and nature"

At the top of these layers is a richly designed green landscape that brings nature into the very heart of the development. This elevated level includes private gardens and shared community spaces that provide quiet places for relaxation as well as opportunities for gathering and socialising.
These layers combine to create a distinctive and memorable architectural design. Rather than a monotonous block, a dynamic, layered volume is created with subtly sculpted depressions and distinctive peaks that add a unique character to the whole.
The shaped mass gives the district a distinctive character in the city skyline while creating a variety of spatial experiences at all levels. The “valleys” open up vistas, allowing more light to penetrate the lower floors and create intimate outdoor spaces, while the “peaks” offer elevated views of the surrounding area.
Kladno Hills is not only a visual landmark, but also a reflection of the main idea of the project: a layered, living environment where architecture, community and nature are interconnected in a dynamic and harmonious whole.
